Welcome to the Bum Bunker

We have moved and upgraded to place with a bunch of space and some walls to separate fab area and the over all shop...  Now its time to get serious and get riding as soon as possible, clocks-a-ticking to enjoy the spring that is just around the corner.

it only took 4ish loads!

That North Carolina spring is just around the bend!

We are in the process of moving our shop and totally stoked on having enough room for personal builds and fabrication (pictures to come)! Our builds are slowly starting to see some progress and are soon going to resemble motorcycles again. We better hurry cause spring is coming!

until then we can just day dream of better days and knuckleheads...

Sweatsuit Thursdays.

We are in the process of tearing down 3 bikes in one small garage which has been bestowed upon by our gracious hosts.  In the process of building we are also attempting at making the garage a home...its coming along. so far we have tore down an ironhead and are well under way on one of the Evos, its all moving along pretty smoothly.  Now its just a matter of budget and balancing building with fabricating parts for that exchange-value.

that 16" will eventually have a new home on a nice Springer...

Shovels all day!

All Small Time Japanese Builds Lead to Rockingham, NC.

So over cups of coffee one morning a decision was made to get motorcycles before April fix'em up and ride (someone didn't make it and was truly missed). Sometime before June of last year weeks away from Smokeout 11 one, of what would eventually become us, had a basket case 80s/90s(?) GS650 on their hands and another decided haphazardly then and there to chop and bob a 74 CB500.  While the more well-versed motorcycle enthusiasts at that time already had the proper HD equipment.  Anyway over the months friendships were made, bikes were sold, traded, chopped, sold, and bought (repeat)...and now we are all building bikes for 2011 and already looking forward to Smokeout 12!

Bobby Brown (KZ650): needs a friend at all times for push starts...

The CB, is that a triumph???, 500: don't ride in the rain...

So after riding up and down 40 on a 500 trying to keep up with my sporty friends, I slowly began to realize that I was missing something...power and speed.  I became frustrated with never being able to keep up and then decided to quit bullshitting and upgraded (though I am still looking forward to the day I or We start playing around with a CB build).  Now its building season, we are all building and again getting ready for Smokeout 12!

Did I mention we like Smokeout?

After some months some things starting to come together...

Food was eaten, money was spend "invested", and shit got welded...

 Now..........................................................BUM building 2011...........................................................

84 Ironhead

progress is key (5 hours total)...

76 Ironhead...no progress.

this build will be fueled by hopes and dreams and will one day house a Straight Back bolt on hardtail (for some reason this frame deserves respect).

Shovels in the making...

Hello World

this blog will serve as communication between us bums and all interested. there will be misspellings, bad grammar and little to no punctuation. if we took time to correct these things our end product (cycle parts) would inevitably suffer. For now our parts list are as follows. and more will be added soon.

parts will meet all demands and sizing, Jap/Brit and Haley Davidson etc...

Handle bars of all shapes and sizes
Battery boxes of all shapes and sizes
Axle mount license plate brackets and tail lights

Come visit us and say hello at the Holy City Swap meet in Charleston SC, maybe even pick up a part or two. We will be the rough looking bums behind the table.
